This particular blog is bursting at the seams with two of the sweetest people you EVER did meet.
Memphis + beyond- meet Makenzie and Tyler. Both of these cuties were in a wedding I did a few years back, and they both were beyond helpful. John and I actually went to high school with Tyler, but we were a grade older so we didn’t really get to hang out or anything. He was Mr. Athlete though, so we did know that much.
When Makenzie (who you’ll want to be BFF’s with after this post) reached out to me, John and I instantly crossed our fingers and toes that they would hire us to be their wedding photographers. When they came over to our house to meet with us, Makenzie told us she was from Normal, Illinois. We had never even heard of that city, but knew it HAD to be just as charming as she is.
These cuties met in college where they BOTH had athletic scholarships. YES, beauty AND brains. It only made complete sense that we start their engagement session where their story began, Rhodes College. If you haven’t ever visited Rhodes, I highly suggest that you take a tour, because you’ll love everything around you. I secretly call Rhodes “Hogwarts.” It seems just as magical.
After soaking up all of Rhodes’ beauty, we headed downtown, where our past groom, Corey, met us with Tyler and Makenzie’s adorable pup, Cora. I’ve taken MANY engagement photos as well as wedding day photos that included sweet pups, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog cooperate so well. Cora is the sweetest, happiest little princess there is.
We’re SO dang excited that Makenzie and Tyler are getting married THIS July at the beautiful Spring Creek Ranch.
