Heartwood Hall is magical for a wedding, but just wait until you see Stephanie and Radley’s engagement photos. Also, who doesn’t LOVE an engagement session that includes DOGS! (As in, multiple.)
When we first met these babes, we loved their excitement and how hands on both Stephanie and Radley were with wedding planning. We typically don’t see a lot of grooms in initial meetings, but Radley was here all bright eyed and bushy tailed, with tons of great questions! We were happy that he was equally as interested as Stephanie. We totally knew just from that short meeting that Stephanie and Radley were 100% our couple. We are so thrilled they felt the same about us.
John and I absolutely DIED laughing when we asked S + R how they first met. Here’s Stephanie’s recollection of that night:
“We met on March 27, 2009 when I went down to Ole Miss with a couple of friends to visit and go see 3 6 Mafia perform.”
HOW EPIC IS THAT? Stephanie said that unfortunately 3 6 never showed up. John and I are both SO glad they didn’t, because Stephanie and Radley got to spend time together that entire night. Essentially, these two have been inseparable ever since. I love that they have 3 6 mafia to thank for their happy ever after. Maybe we could convince them to play a song at their wedding reception? I’ll work on that.
When I asked Stephanie what her favorite thing about Radley was, one thing in particular (she had so many wonderful things to say) stood out. She said:
“He would give the shirt off his back for his family and friends and would stop and drop everything he is doing to help them out and any time of the night if needed.”
Stephanie’s statement was validated when I asked her what her most favorite memory of Radley was, P.S. grab the tissues:
“There are too many sweet memories but this one specifically always stands out. When I was still in college, I took some night classes at Southwest campus. I remember telling him one night that I was low on gas and I hate filling up at night, especially in sketchier areas. When I was done with class, I went to my car with the intention to go fill up my tank, but come to find out, he drove from Germantown to the Southwest campus on Sycamore with a gas can and filled my tank up while I was in class. It was the most thoughtful, simple thing anyone has ever done for me. He continues to do thoughtful gestures as that to this day.”
I’m not crying, you are.
Stephanie and Radley’s love is simple and genuine. It’s so natural, we absolutely love how comfortable and perfect they are for each other.
Stephanie and Radley, thank you for allowing us to be a part of the most special time of your lives. We cannot wait for next weekend!
(And lets give a ROUND of applause for Buckley and Jet for being nothing short of absolutely ADORABLE!)
