Meet Ashley and Clay.
I should start by warning you. This post is super long, and super gorgeous. This engagement session was actually two parts, day 1 and day 2. Ashley and Clay knew exactly what they wanted out of their engagement session, and I can’t tell you how great that made me feel. I was the exact same way with mine. I wanted our engagement session to mirror the people and the lives that John and I lived, and I can honestly say Ashley and Clay’s mirror their lives pretty accurately as well.
You may wonder why I decided to name this post “A long time coming.” Well, Ashley and Clay have been together for almost a decade. They’ve faced trials like any couple, and even made it though the long distance portion of their relationship, when Ashley went off to college at SCAD, (Yes, Ashley went to Savannah College of Art and Design, one of the top 5 art schools in the US.) while Clay attended the University of Memphis. So this engagement has been a long time coming. I’m sure all of A+C’s friends and family have been anxiously awaiting this day to arrive, they all knew it would come. Ashley is a VERY talented graphic designer, she even created my cover photo on my photography Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/KellyGinnPhotography

I can’t help but think that a lot of Ashley’s creativity comes from her loving parents, Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Toni. Have I mentioned that I have known this family for some odd 15+ years? My dad and Ashley’s dad are both Air Traffic Controllers and Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Toni are wedding videographers on the weekend, and boy oh boy are they SERIOUSLY talented. They videoed my wedding and my sister’s wedding, and I got SO many compliments on my trailer that they provided.View VM Wedding’s here” http://vmweddingsstudio.com
If you are getting married/planning on getting married I highly suggest hiring this fantastic duo.
Ok, now back to Ashley and Clay. Other than the fact that they are simply adorable together, I mean the type of adorable that just makes you smile from ear to ear every time you are with them, they also balance each other out quite well. Ashley and Clay work for the same company, Ashley is a graphic designer, and Clay is over the marketing department. Talk about polar opposite. (hello Kelly and John) Clay was SO willing to do what ever Ashley was wanting. I always think that is worth mentioning because lets face it, boys don’t like to take pictures, but this meant the world to Ashley, and Clay definitely played his part well.
We started at Heartwood Hall in Piperton Tennessee. Clay and Ashley will be saying ‘I do’ at this historic manor in May of 2014. I can hardly wait. I’ve been out there a couple of times, but I could NEVER get sick of it. It’s decorated so elegantly, it will simply take your breath away. I cannot wait for May 2014. When I first met Clay I liked him immediately. I mean, he scored Ashley so he had to be cool, I saw Ashley’s ring and knew he had good taste, not to mention he told Ashley I reminded him of Taylor Swift. Clay, you will forever be my favorite groom of all time for those words. I could just hug him. I hope you guys enjoy Part 1 of you engagement session.
Congrats you guys! I could look at these every day of my life and not get tired =]
Toni Woodard - Absolutely fabulous! Love them all. Thanks for all your hard work. You and Jon are precious gems!
