I know you guys remember these guys.
They made a statement with their colored powder engagement session, and I just knew their wedding would be an even bigger statement.
Let me back up a bit.
Ashley and I have known each other since we were little girls. Our dads work together, and our families are good friends. Jimmy and Toni (Ashley’s wonderful parents) are the owners of VMweddings Studio. There aren’t enough words for how much we absolutely adore the Woodard family. Jimmy and Toni almost feel like parents to us. They always have our best interest at heart, they give great advice, they work around our spastic selves (and that’s NO easy job), and they treat each other and anyone around them with the upmost respect. Their marriage inspires us, and I am positive that it inspires Ashley and Clay.
Ashley and Clay have been planning this BEAST of a wedding (and I mean that as the highest compliment) for what seems like forever. All of their hard work (with their family’s help) paid off. The Woodard and Presley family were kind enough to include John and I in their rehearsal dinner. It’s so rare for us to sit back and take things in without a camera attached to our face, but we had so much fun. We were able to meet relatives and close friends of A+C, and hear all of the thoughtful speeches their bridal party gave. If I wasn’t laughing I was crying. We felt honored to be guests.
Even though the entire week leading up to A+C’s big day called for rain (like 90% chance, people) it couldn’t have been any prettier. We’re talking BLUE skies and sunshine. Their day with the help of some pretty sweet vendors: (Heartwood Hall, Lynn Doyle Flowers, Kasey Acuff, and Barefoot Bride, just to name a few) was absolutely perfect. This wedding was in a league of its own:
A plethora of teapots, garden roses, pink peonies, penguin cake toppers, ribbon wands, navy gingham with pink accessories, and monograms galore. I mean, I’ve never seen so many beautiful things in one room.
Ashley and Clay, you make us (and everyone you meet) so happy! Thanks for allowing US to be on this journey with you!
Enjoy!
xoxo
