How this wedding hasn’t been blogged yet is absolutely baffling me at the moment. Meet Kate and Kita. I’ll be honest, I am completely and totally obsessed with them both.
Actually, scratch that, not only am I obsessed with them, I’m also obsessed with their sweet families as well. Kate’s sister was a giant help on her wedding day, I still remember Kate’s dad fixing lunch for Kate and all of her bridesmaids. Kate’s mom was hand lettering an envelope on the morning of her wedding so I could photograph it. They can totally adopt me and John anytime they want. Kate and Kita got married at the barn at the Memphis Agricenter.
It was a gloomy, rainy December day, but you would have thought it was blue skies and rainbows because Kate and Kita were on cloud nine. John remembered that my cute little clear umbrella was in the trunk of my car, so I somehow managed to convince Kate to venture outside with me.
Kate told me that her mom and aunt (who are twin sisters, hello double awesome) were in large, to thank for such beautiful decor. The decorations are seriously some of our favorite. The deep navy with twinkles of gold and white paired with the lush evergreen made my photographer heart skip more than just one beat. They made two taxidermy-ish deer made out of PACKING TAPE. I was SO obsessed with them, that Kate offered to give me one. He currently hangs in our house, and I remember Kate every time I see him. If you’re wondering why Kate’s makeup is so fierce, you already know, Kasey Acuff is the Queen of wedding makeup. Kate can testify.
One of my favorite memories from this special day was Kate’s sweet, emotional parents while Kate was dancing with her dad (to this freaking awesome song.) See photos below, you’ll want to grab a tissue as well.
Kate and Kita are simply amazing people. They are so intentional with everything they do. Their love for the love is obvious, and they are quick to tell you all they have is because of Him. They are generous with their time and always more than willing to support their friends and loved ones. I knew from the second I met them, I would probably never meet anyone like them ever again. I am still convinced of that. They are just so special, and if you know Kate and Kita, you’ll know what I mean by that. They are definitely meant to be, and we are so happy they’ve found each other.
Kate and Kita, thank you SO much for letting us be a part of the fist chapter of your great story. You two are rockstars, and we felt honored to be there with you.
