I don’t know that Memphis- and beyond, can handle the cuteness that’s about to unfold for you here.
Meet Kaylee and Taylor. “Taylee” is their celebrity name, so when you see them on the street, if paparazzi haven’t swarmed them, be sure to refer to them as that.
Back story time, (cause you know you can always count on that with me.)
I met Kaylee in college. We were both in different sororities, but we’d wave to each other at events, and stayed in touch after I graduated. Kaylee and I also have similar interests. We both love Kate Spade, J. Crew, Rifle Paper Company, and Target. She truly is a girl after my own heart. I didn’t actually know Taylor, although I did know of him. Taylor was also Greek, so he and Kaylee were bound to meet one way or another. Both Kaylee and Taylor were super involved on campus and in their own chapters. Kaylee was her sorority’s president, and after she and Taylor started dating, she later became Sigma Chi’s sweetheart (For those of you who aren’t Greek, this is an honor that the men of the fraternity vote on and present to the woman they feel has gone above and beyond for their chapter, and represents them well!)
Kaylee and Taylor LOVE MEMPHIS. I’m talking, LOVE. They are so good for our city, and Memphis is lucky to have such an amazing supportive couple. (Which is why starting their session at the FedEx Forum only made perfect sense.)Taylor has a cool collection of trendy socks, and he also appreciates a good craft beer, so he and John are pretty similar too. A few weeks before Taylor proposed to Kaylee, I got an email from him. In a nutshell, he was asking if I was available to come capture the sweet moment when he popped the question. He planned to propose to Kaylee in front of a Memphis’ landmark, The Orpheum. Even though I already had an event, I was still grinning from EAR to EAR that Taylor was finally proposing. Luckily we were able to incorporate The Orpheum into their engagement session (you will see below.) If I’m not mistaken, I believe I received a text the same day Kaylee said “YES” and it made both John and I feel so special. We just adore this couple, they are so very special to us. Kaylee later told me that Taylor, isn’t the best at keeping surprises a secret (this must be a guy thing because John can’t either.) He told her he almost proposed in a friend’s backyard, luckily Kaylee’s friends talked him into waiting, haha! Oh boys!
Kaylee and Taylor are getting married THIS June at The Tower Room, and we simply cannot wait. It’s been so fun to see the transition from boyfriend/girlfriend- to becoming fiancés- and more recently homeowners. As our “About” pages mentions, we LOVE being cheerleaders for our couples. Before, during, and after their big day, we can’t help but jump for joy when we see cute couples like Kaylee and Taylor posing in front of a “Sold” sign. I’m already drooling just waiting to see how they style their new home.
When Kaylee and Taylor aren’t in the process of moving (haha) you can find them spending time with their dog they rescued together, named Randy (named after Zach Randolph) – At any Memphis’ sporting event, whether it be University of Memphis OR supporting our Grizzlies, or eating somewhere local, like Cheffies.
“Taylee” we feel so special that you’ve allowed us to be a part of this special time in your lives. We feel thankful for sweet couples like you, you remind us of why we love what we do!
Enjoy!
(P.S. Love Kaylee’s makeup? Of course you do! It’s because Queen Kasey Acuff did it!)
