Where do you even start with a rockstar couple like Mallory and Kelly?
I guess where it all started. Kelly (boy) and Mallory both went to high school with John and I. They are one of the very few high school sweethearts we know who have been together longer than we have. Kelly was in the band (and he RULED, can I say that?) and Mallory was a color guard. Their sweet love story makes me want to write a song. I had a Spanish class with Kelly with one of my all time favorite teachers, Mr. Afan. Since there were two Kelly’s in that class, Mr. Afan made me pick a Spanish name. I was Veronica and Kelly got to be Kelly. We got to do a lot of group work, and I remember Kelly was SO smart. Sweet Mallory (who I am absolutely obsessed with) was in every one of my homeroom classes. In high school, I remember thinking of her as intelligent, pretty, and shy. I was probably talking obnoxiously loud, and she never would have got a word in anyways.
Mallory and I are SO similar in so many ways. Even our dresses reminded me of each other. She loves Taylor Swift as freakishly much as I do, and she too is an entrepreneur. Mallory is one crafty lady. Aside from making the cutest pastries you ever did she, she also sells the cutest monogramed/personalized items. Mallory has been SUPER supportive of our little business since the day it opened. I was secretly wishing she’d ask us to capture her big day, and luckily she did.
Fun fact: Kelly is actually a twin, and so is Mallory’s mom. I’m already placing bets on how ADORABLE these Lovelace twins will be. In high school, I could never tell Kelly apart from his twin Kevin. I’d walk down the hall as we changed classes and go, “Are you Kelly?” and Kevin would just yell “NOOOOOO!” and keep walking. Hahaha, I’m sure twins get sick of being mistaken for the other, but I’ve always adored Kelly AND Kevin.
Mallory and Kelly, we feel so incredibly honored to have been a part of your story. You guys are truly an example of love prevailing, and we’re SO thankful we got to witness page 1 of your love story!
A special thanks to Jimmy and Toni of VMWeddings Studio for rockin’ and rollin’ all day with us, and letting us use one of your lights for the AWESOME dramatic black and white image towards the end of this post!
You guys enjoy!
