One time, I got to do an engagement session for the real life Barbie and Ken. True story. (I mean that as the highest compliment ever.)
World, meet Natalie and Kevin, a rocking powerhouse of a couple.
I could write a novel on all of the reasons you’re going to want to be Natalie’s best friend, and I’m confident it would be a best seller.
From the very initial email, I loved Natalie. I loved how kindly she spoke, and how generous she was with her compliments. When we met up with her in person, I loved that she was brave and confident enough to come by herself (something I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do.) In case you’re wondering, the sweet girl from the emails is even more charming than I could have ever imagined. I didn’t think that was even possible, but it is.
John and I were fortunate enough to meet Kevin in a recent wedding we shot. He and Natalie both were in the bridal party, and we loved the dynamic they added to the mix. They both are so insanely perfect for each other, I love when people just fit together like missing puzzle pieces.
We nailed down amazing weather for Natalie and Kevin’s downtown engagement session. They stepped out of their vehicle with some of the classiest attire we’ve seen. Natalie wore a classic black dress that just added the necessary romance to this session. Kevin made 007 jealous in his classic black and white that made for a classy downtown affair.
We wandered around Main Street and Tom Lee Park, and ended at the Madison’s Rooftop. I absolutely love the crisp golden light that so delicately bounced off of Natalie’s curls. (P.S. I could write a whole other post on why Natalie’s hair is basic perfection.)
Natalie and Kevin, you guys are both so wonderful, and John and I consider ourselves lucky you allowed us to be a part of this special time in your lives. We can’t wait for next May!
Enjoy!
