Orion Hill Wedding- Memphis Wedding Photographer- [Mallory + Grant] January 19, 2022 This Orion Hill Boho-chic wedding with pampas grass will forever be a favorite of ours. Honestly, I could write a novel on how many ways Mallory and Grant are one of the most beautiful couples we’ve ever met, but despite their flawless outward appearance, when I say “beautiful couples” I’m actually referring to who they are as people. Let’s first address the elephant in the room. Kelly, this wedding was in 2019. To quote Heather McMahan “Where ya been, bish?” Well, lets state the obvious. 2020 was a realllllllll Karen, which led us from shooting zero weddings from March-May, and then full throttle from end of May 2020-the entire 2021. We shot postponed weddings on top of regular 2020 + 2021 weddings, and editing/turn around was our ultimate priority. Unfortunately, 2020 caused me to lose my blogging voice, but I’M back, and my skin is as thick as I am. Back to Mallory + Grant. Are you KIDDING me with these two?! Just look at their hair. THEIR HAIR. Grant looks like he could actually be on the cover of GQ and Mallory could be Priscilla Presley’s actual twin. I legitimately got hair extensions after this wedding because I was that obsessed with Mallory’s hair. These two had a wedding that so perfectly mirrored their precious love for one another. They so obviously adore each other. You can tell because their chemistry is straight fire. Grant and Mallory almost even move in synch. When Mallory moves, it’s second nature for Grant to be right by her side. It’s as if they are their best versions of each other, when they are side by side. It was a rainy Saturday in October, but there was enough of a clearing for all the wedding portraits, as well as their entire wedding ceremony. It totally set a moody vibe which we love. It seemed almost euphoric as their reflection gleamed off of the black pavement. It was amazing. John Mark provided the florals and I am confident people still talk about them. Orion Hill is a wonderful venue for a wedding for multiple reasons: 1. They have a perfect backup rain plan, that still provides lots of natural light. 2. They have such a large variety of locations for portraits (really makes our photographer hearts happy) 3. They have TWO bridal suites so both individuals have their own separate space to get ready 4. The wow factor driveway….swoon. 5. The size- it’s freaking huge. Even though Mallory and Grant got married over two years ago, I still consider Mallory a good friend. She reaches out often letting us know she’s praying for us, and she has honestly been a really great comfort in the last 4-5 months for me. I’ll forever be thankful these two hired us for their weddings, because now we can call them forever friends. Enjoy!
