Rustic Tennessee Engagement Session with Horses- Memphis Wedding Photographer- [Abbey + Elliot]

Abbey + Elliot’s rustic Tennessee engagement session is one of our all time favorites! We got to travel to Abbey + Elliot’s home for this session. They live on such a gorgeous property, and we were SO excited we got to meet their horse, Abby. Elliot’s grandpa named the horse years before Abbey was ever in the picture, but he has such great taste, don’t you think? When we arrived Elliot said “wow, I feel like I am meeting celebrities” but John and I know it took less than 10 minutes for these two to realize we’re actually just a couple of dorks.

Abbey + Elliot’s first date was at Premier Bowling Lanes in Oxford, MS. Elliot drove from Memphis to Oxford for their date because Abbey was still in college at Ole Miss at the time. Elliot being the sly, charmer he is, made a bet with Abbey that if he rolled a strike that she would have to kiss him. Let’s just say Elliot did NOT strike out, on their first date, haha!

I asked both Abbey + Elliot what their favorite thing about each other is, and their responses are too good not to share:

Abbey: “There are so many, but If I had to choose just one I would say my favorite things about Elliot is that he is patient, kind, and loving. He has the biggest heart. He respects his family and friends and is always looking out for them. I love that healways makes me feel beautiful and loved everyday. I am so incredibly lucky to have him as my best friend and future husband.”

Elliot: “This question is one of the hardest questions that I have had to try to answer. I’mnot wanting to spend the rest of my life with Abigail just because of one of herhighlights but because of all of her highlights. If I had to choose, my favorite traitthat Abigail portrays is love. She has the biggest heart of any person that I know;she is always thinking of the person beside her instead of herself. My future wifealso knows how to love life and find the joy in it. I could go on for hours explainingher love, but to say the least, Abbey’s love is endless, and I look forward to seeingwhere our love takes us in our future.”

These two were supposed to get married in June, and had to make the very difficult decision to postpone, HOWEVER, they are finally tying the knot THIS weekend and we’re absolutely ecstatic to be photographing and filming it. Y’all leave them some love!
