These two cuties made even a cloudy, cold March day tolerable.
Friends, meet Shelley and Justin. First impressions: HER.HAIR. Oh my goodness. I probably played with aka- “fixed it” 20 times during their session. It was super windy, but I think subconsciously, I was just secretly wishing it was my hair.
Shelley reached out to us when John and I were still living in San Francisco. We were super excited that she showed interest in our work, and super flattered when her date was negotiable around our availability. Way to pull on our heartstrings, S+J.
Along with having been together for basically forever, we also have another giant factor in common with these love birds. MUST.LOVE.DOGS. Shelley and Justin have two fur children that basically rule their lives. I feel like every single one of our couples are “dog people.” Those are the best kind of people: loyal, interesting, smart, and hilarious.
Shelley wore the cutest black fitted dress to the session, and since it was freaking FREEZING outside, she decided to WHIP out this gorgeous West Elm blanket, and wear it as a shaw. She slayed the HECK out of it, and I love the texture it added to these photos. These guys drove from Nashville for their engagement session and then turned around and went home and had to go to work the very next day. Talk about troopers!
These cuties are getting married this JUNE and John and I are absolutely THRILLED to be there to capture those memories!
