When Harley mentioned she wanted her and Jake’s engagement session to start at The Liquor Store (one of Memphis’ cutest restaurants) John and I were ECSTATIC! Let me introduce to you Memphis’ most bold and fierce couple, meet Harley + Jake. I won’t lie the first time I saw Harley, I was obsessed. She is so confident in who she is, and she marches to the beat of her own drum. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks, and I so admire that about her.
Harley and Jake met in college at the University of Mississippi. Harley told me that after officially meeting Jake, she realized later he was actually in the background of a photo she was tagged in. We all laughed and made creeper jokes, but Jake is anything but a creeper. Jake reminds me so much of John. He’s hilarious, kind hearted, and down to clown around just like Harley. I also love that Harley and Jake always want to be together. You can tell their actually best friends, and they don’t care what they’re doing, as long as they’re together.
This blogpost wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t talk about Harley’s tattoos. I’ve never seen anything so beautiful in my life. I probably asked her when and where she got each of her tattoos. I could have listened to her talk about them forever. I left their session and said “I want all of those tattoos.” John laughed and said “Yeah, I know you talked about literally every single one of them.” She has the cutest, most delicate tattoos that are honestly like a work of art. My most favorite is the outline of the puppy face on Harley’s finger! (You’ll see it below!)
Harley and Jake’s first date was at McEwen’s in Oxford, Mississippi back in 2016. It was basically a done deal, even back then because just two years later Jake proposed, and Harley said “HECK YAS.”
These babes are getting married THIS WEEKEND at 409 South Main. We are so freaking pumped to be a part of their most special day. Y’all enjoy!
