If Sarah and David didn’t live across the pond, I would convince them to hang out with us every day. I truly mean that.

Sarah was born and raised here, in the United States, and David was born and raised in the U.K. While planning the wedding, all of our contact with Sarah was via email, because she was living and working in London. She was absolutely delightful from the very get go. Thankfully, Sarah had her precious mom to help her nail down the stunning Annesdale Mansion, which is where she and David’s wedding reception was. If you’re a bride/future bride and haven’t ever checked out Annesdale, give Val a call today. She is ridiculously helpful, so knowledgeable, and truly cares about the couples and their families that she works with. It’s SO important to work with professional vendors on your wedding day, and Val and the whole Annesdale family is sure to go the extra mile for you.

Luckily, John and I were able to actually meet Sarah and David the week of their wedding for coffee. She was absolutely as charming in person as she was through all of our communication. And David?! Oh my goodness, his English accent is sure to make you want to throw on an Ed Sheeran song. Both times I saw David, he greeted me with a kiss on the cheek. Those U.K. boys know how to make a small town, American girl swoon, right? Sarah looked absolutely breathtaking and so classy on her wedding day. She gave off that Audrey Hepburn glow, and turned the heads of every single wedding guest there. David wore a classic royal blue suit that was slightly brighter than his groomsmen, so he also turned heads.

Sarah and David got ready at Annesdale and did all of their pre-photos before the ceremony. Their ceremony was held at Saint John’s Episcopal Church, which is where Sarah’s parents actually were married. We love that Sarah prioritized such a sweet concept. Sarah’s dress was so flattering on her tall and lean figure, it made me want to get married all over again just to wear it. She got her dress from Maggie Louise Bridal in Collierville, TN. Garden District provided the most stunning florals, as always. Felicia Suzanne’s catered a plated dinner for Sarah and David’s closest friends and family and it was absolutely delicious, the talk of the night.

Sarah and David’s family gave sweet speeches and had champagne toasts. It truly was a dreamy night. Apparently it’s a customary tradition in the U.K. for the groomsmen to do a “roast” of the groom. Where our tradition is for people to stand up and talk about what great people the bride or groom are, David’s groomsmen had a slightly different plan. They told funny stories of David growing up and even gave each table a set of slightly embarrassing photos of David through the years. It was one of the most entertaining receptions we’ve ever photographed. At one point some guests were laughing so hard they cried. Sarah and David were good sports about it and laughed right along.

Sarah and David’s “grand exit” was actually immediately after their ceremony at the church, so the reception was simply dancing and fun.

Sarah and David, we absolutely adore you. We wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness. We know you’ve had your photos for well over seven months, but enjoy reliving this sweet day!

John and I can’t believe these kiddos have been married for almost a year.

(Note: for brides reading this blog, just a reminder that Liz + Clint got their images less than two months after their wedding, but finding time to blog these beauties is a whole other story.)

Remember Liz + Clint’s engagement session with their precious pup, Tucker? HOW could you forget? These guys are so special to John and I. Even almost a year after their wedding, they are STILL some of our biggest cheerleaders. Recently, they swung by to pick up their wedding album, and surprised us with a DELICIOUS bottle of red wine. We still get inquiries to this day of potential brides who name drop “Liz + Clint”, and we know why. They are SO loved by all who know them. It’s no wonder they had 80 people in their bridal party. I may have exaggerated that number a bit, but they had an army around them, that’s for sure.

Liz + Clint got married in August and to say it was warm would be an understatement, but it didn’t rain. God bless. These guys had the very sweetest first look. We were very thankful they decided to see each other before because immediately after their ceremony, they were able to jet over to their reception and spend the whole night dancing and mingling with their friends.

One of the most memorable moments John and I reflect back on from Liz + Clint’s wedding day is her first look with her dad. The relationship Liz has with her dad is so sweet and their first look photos are some of our very favorite. It’s no secret Liz is a daddy’s girl, and we love that.

Liz’s parents surprised the newlyweds with an amazing vintage Lincoln Continental classic getaway car. It was the prettiest shade of light blue. Both Liz + Clint were thrilled to have it there for photos and to sneak off in.

Deedra Stone prepared the loveliest florals that made such a statement against the pale blue bridesmaid’s dresses. Liz + Clint’s ceremony was held at Independent Presbyterian Church and their reception was at Chickasaw Country Club. Deedra also adorned the ginormous chandelier with the most stunning florals. It was the talk of the reception, understandably so. Kasey Acuff did Liz’s makeup and Gretchen Campbell did her hair and both lasted all night, despite the August heat.

Liz + Clint danced their entire night away with fun glow sticks, candy necklaces, and even a late night corndog buffet (Liz’s favorite.) It was one of our very favorite receptions and an absolute blast.

Liz + Clint, thanks so much for letting us spend the entire day with you, and for you constant love and support!

Enjoy reliving these moments!

I can’t believe these two have been married for almost an entire year.

(Side note: it just takes that long to finally get around to blogging!)

Remember Kaylee and Taylor? Or as we call them, “Taylee!” HOW could you forget these two gems? I gushed about how lucky Memphis is to have this powerhouse of a couple! Kaylee and Taylor are truly our biggest cheerleaders. They are always shouting our name from the rooftops and loving on us at all times. We can’t thank them enough for all they have done for us and our small business.

Kaylee and Taylor got married at The Tower Center, here in Memphis. Kaylee’s mom told us that the view, venue, and photographer were top priorities of theirs, and we felt so special to be included in such a special day. Being the Memphis loving couple they are, Kaylee and Taylor tied the knot on top of the city, and I can’t think of any better spot than The Tower Center for them to become Mr. + Mrs. Kaylee and Taylor’s wedding vibe was classy, sophisticated, and chic. I would expect NOTHING less from these stylish folks. There were gold and sequin drapery, florals adorning every chandelier, and glitter galore. It made our photographer hearts SKIP a beat.

Holly + Ivy did Kaylee and Taylor’s flowers, and they did such a wonderful job. Kaylee’s bouquet included cascading gold ribbons that provided the perfect amount of sparkle. Kasey Acuff did Kaylee’s makeup which was flawless the entire night, even as she danced the night away. Kaylee’s talented sister Madison created all of the cakes that were not only gorgeous, but also delicious.

Since The Tower Room is at the very top of Clark Tower, we had to find an outside location for photos. We decided on Overton Park. Despite the heat, it was the perfect place for portraits. Thankfully, Kaylee and Taylor saw each other before their ceremony, which enabled them to dance the night away at their reception. Seconds before Taylor turned around to see Kaylee for the first time, he said “Are you ready to see your fixer upper?” That pretty much goes down as our favorite first look moment in history.

Kaylee and Taylor, we love you guys to pieces and are beyond thankful for the love and support you’ve ALWAYS provided. Memphis wouldn’t be the same without you guys!
