This is my FIFTH time getting to document part of Courtney and Will’s life. The first time was a fun colored paint session, just for fun. The second was to celebrate their THIRD anniversary, the third time was to document Courtney and Will’s pregnancy, the fourth was Crew’s delivery, (which is probably my favorite) and FINALLY I am able to share Crew’s newborn session.

We had an absolutely insane October, but Courtney and Will have been so very patient with us! Since I’ve already blogged so many wonderful moments in C&W’s lives, there really isn’t ANYTHING that I haven’t said about this wonderful couple. They’re the best. Courtney and Will were born to be parents, I honestly believe that.

One thing that I haven’t mentioned, and TOTALLY should is that Courtney has her own personal blog that is absolutely FABULOUS! I literally read every post. You will feel like you know the Kassner family, even if you don’t. Make sure to follow her here, because Crew (the most adorable newborn ever) will be featured VERY often.

We’re honored to know the three of you! Crew is so lucky to have such God loving parents. We can’t wait to watch him grow!

Enjoy!

Crew’s nursery wasn’t quite finished yet, but it’s going to be absolutely adorable. Courtney is quite the crafter!

I also LOVE the fact that Courtney doesn’t turn into a freak over the dogs being near Crew. Dogs are totally people too!

Ginger also wanted some lovin’!

A reoccurring theme in Crew’s nursery is vintage frills and foxes! I love both!

The signs that Courtney put on both of her pups when they announced they were pregnant!

I love this!

I think Crew looks JUST like Courtney!

As soon as Courtney put Crew down, both pups immediately had to go over and check Crew out!

Just.precious.

Then, and now!

I think this is a little Crew smirk!

Our hearts are overflowing for you. All three of you!

Congrats, Mom and Dad!

Rebecca Collins - Beautiful work as always! Can I say I just love baby feet!!!ReplyCancel

My posts have been getting longer and longer, which I try to avoid (you know, let my work speak for itself) but it’s not happening on this post. I have too much to say.

I know you all remember this dynamic duo.

John and I started preparing for this wedding the moment I was informed that WE would have the honor to document it (lets face it, any Memphis photographer would have killed to shoot it).

John and I were already friends with both Kelly and Dusty, but I feel that when a friend asks you to shoot their wedding, that is the biggest honor possible. We love both Kelly and Dusty so very much. Kelly even bought us little ‘happies’ as thank you’s for shooting her wedding.

(I got a dazzling Kate Spade watch, and John got a new PS3 game, they TOTALLY speak our language.)

Not only are K&D so very giving and generous, but they are BOTH so supportive. I realize that I often mention my supportive friends, but Kelly and Dusty are by far the most supportive. They literally ‘like’ and share ALL of my posts, they tell ALL of their friends and family about us, and toot our horns for us on a daily basis. We are beyond thankful for Kelly and Dusty.

I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Kelly and Dusty’s wedding will be featured in At Home Tennessee’s January edition. This sweet couple definitely deserves that kind of exposure.

I had never met Kelly’s parent’s before her wedding, but was Facebook friends with her precious mom. Mrs. Nancy, or ‘momma Rash’ has always been so kind to me. When I finally got to hug her neck, it didn’t feel like I was hugging a stranger, it felt like I was hugging my mom. I know Kelly’s heart of gold comes from both of her wonderful parents.

When Kelly told me she reserved the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art for her wedding ceremony and reception, I’ll admit I geeked out a little. My degree is in art, and I’ve only made 100 trips to the Brooks in the last 5+ years. I knew exactly what type of treasure it was, and it was SO completely perfect for Kelly and Dusty. The Brooks Museum of Art is located at the heart of Memphis in the historic Overton Park. The Beaux Art Style building is constructed of flawless Georgian marble, and I knew it would make for stunning photos!

Everything about Kelly and Dusty’s wedding was nothing short of magical. Kelly hired Michael Doyle of Lynn Doyle Flowers to create her vision of arrangements and decor. I hired him for my wedding two years ago, and my sister did the same seven years ago. I highly recommend him to ANYONE looking. I have quite a few of his masterpieces sprinkled throughout this post.

From the gorgeous shades of lavender, the flawless fall weather, and all of the perfect priceless emotions, Kelly and Dusty had one of the most amazing days I’ve ever been a part of.

K&D, I can’t tell you enough how thankful we are for both of you. I’m so glad that we finally found a couple who is as crazy about each other as we are, and we absolutely cannot wait to watch you grow in life and love!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Warren, enjoy!

Kelly and Dusty’s Gatsby inspired invitations were flawless.

Brides, Kasey Acuff is the definition of an artist! I love her work!

Wait for it…..

POW! Kelly is simply stunning. Those wide eyes!

I loved Dusty’s James Bond attire!

My heart was pounding.

I’m thankful John was able to capture this angle of Kelly and Dusty’s first look!

I absolutely love this.

This sculpture added the perfect amount of drama to Kelly and Dusty’s photos!

One of my favorites. Kelly!!! You are so gorgeous!

Mini Kelly, Natalie, is just as precious!

EVERYONE needs a Marina in their wedding.

I’ll say it again, call Lynn Doyle Flowers for your wedding, he is the best of the best!

I love this!

Stunning lavender bouquet, compliments of Lynn Doyle Flowers.

Can I get a round of applause for these handsome guys?

I love this!

I can’t even handle this cuteness.

Those tears….

Momma Rash was so emotional.

So sweet!

It just wouldn’t be Kelly Rash/Warren’s wedding without changing into kicks!

Dizzy D made an appearance!

Kelly and Dusty are just precious. I have SO many images of them just hugging.

Well, this is incredibly dreamy!

Sweet Marina, crying till the very end!

We wish you a lifetime of love and laughter!

It’s like RAIIINNNNNN on your wedding day.”

Ok, now we’re all singing it.

Remember these cuties?

I thought about titling this post “When it rains, it pours” because on Jamie and Gary’s wedding day, it POURED. I’m talking, cats and dogs, with absolutely NO break. I’ve never seen a day in Memphis where it rained the ENTIRE day. September 20th, 2013- it just never stopped.

Jamie and Gary’s wedding ceremony and reception was to take place on Jamie’s parent’s property. They have the most beautiful home and backyard, it would have been the most amazing spot in Memphis. The weather had other plans. I’m sure early in the morning Jamie wondered how they would pull this off. Luckily for Jamie and Gary, Jamie has saints for parents. With the help of Jamie’s mom and dad, and brother, they were able to cover a portion of their back patio, where the ceremony took place. The three of them DID NOT STOP working for one minute. Mrs. Sonya, (Jamie’s mom) was out in the pouring rain all day, just ensuring that Jamie had the wedding of her dreams. Both Jamie’s dad, and brother Jacob were up on ladders, and even on the roof. All three together, they pulled it off and Jamie and Gary were able to say ‘I do,’ which is all that really matters.

Jamie was so calm the entire day. She was thankful for such an amazing family who stopped at NO expense for her. I now know why Jamie is so incredible, she was raised by the best of the best.

You will notice there are a few sunny images of Jamie and Gary included in this post. We did a day after session because every bride deserves sunny wedding day portraits, and they are some of my all time favorites!

Rain or no rain, nothing was going to stop fate. Jamie and Gary, you guys are amazing. Asher is lucky to have you both. We’re so happy for this new chapter in your life, and cannot wait to see what adventures marriage takes you on.

Enjoy.

One of my all time favorite dresses I’ve ever shot.

Mrs. Sonya has a heart of gold. Working in the rain.

Jamie said the initial plan was to have these gorgeous strung florals hanging from trees, although I must say, this was dreamy.

Jamie’s dad, on the roof.

Jamie’s brother and dad up on the ladders covering the porch.

Jamie’s flowers were flawless.

JAMIE…..wowzers.

This ham right here.

I could go on and on for days about what an amazing mother Mrs. Sonya is, she reminds me so much of my mom!

Isn’t Jamie simply stunning?

I.LOVE.THIS.

Asher is a showstopper, and I’m ok with it.

So this is adorable.

Now this one gave me chills.

I’M ALL FOR a bride who is willing to sit in her dress.

Asher is so lucky to have you two as parents.

The 5 year old fairy princess inside me was SCREAMING. Who am I kidding? The 25 year old fairy princess inside me was screaming.

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Williams!
