Downtown Memphis Engagement- Memphis Wedding Photographer- [MA + Court]

Downtown Memphis can be so much for for engagement photos. Mary Alexander (MA) and Court’s was an absolute blast. Speaking of “blast” would you believe me if I told you MA and Court’s relationship started with an M&M Sonic Blast?

MA + Court have met and started dating in high school in 2012. MA unfortunately got pretty sick and missed some school. Sweet Court would drive over after school with her schoolwork, and her favorite, a M&M Sonic Blast. MA said it best, “We fell in love fast and have been together ever since! It will be eight years this May!“

John and I become friends with so many of our couples, because they are all so amazing, and MA and Court are no exception. We just clicked with them instantly at their engagement session, and we absolutely cannot wait to photographer their wedding this July at Annesdale Mansion.

We asked MA and Court what their favorite memory of each other is, and honestly I have to share both with you, they are the most perfect responses:

MA: “After almost eight years it is really hard to pick a favorite memory. I feel so blessed to have grown up with him by my side. Some of my favorite times were in the very beginning. I was fifteen and Court was sixteen. He would pick me up in his big yellow Hummer and we would drive the same circle over and over. We would roll the windows down, blast music, and sing to the top of our lungs. I would be that fifteen year old girl over and over again. As we have gotten older, we have been blessed to experience somany different places together. From New York to Santa Monica, any place with Court is my favorite. I could go on and on. It seems like everyday there is a new memory with him and I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for us!”

Court: “Some of my favorite memories with Mary Alexander are the experiences we’ve had on trips. I remember back in high school when we went to the beach for 3 weeks and we literally sat on the beach every day listening to music, getting lost in conversation(and getting burnt to a crisp lol). Another memory is when I visited her in New York City when she lived there for a summer. It was my first time in the city. The first place we hit up was Shake Shack and my life was forever changed haha. She showed me the whole city in just a few days, and it’s a memory I’ll never forget. I listed a few but I could go on and on with memories I’ve made with MA.”

In case you couldn’t tell, we just adore the love these two have for each other. MA + Court, you two are a breath of fresh air, and we can’t wait for July!

Spring Creek Ranch Engagement Session- [Memphis Wedding Photographer]- Morgan + Jordan

Spring Creek Ranch photographs beautifully no matter what season it is. We were thrilled when we got to photograph Morgan + Jordan’s engagement session there last June. Other than a wasp that tried to take out all four of us (what a sight to see) this engagement session was perfect!

Would you believe me if I told you Morgan + Jordan have Myspace to thank for their relationship?! YES, Morgan + Jordan have good ‘ole Myspace Tom to thank for this happily ever after. I just love that SO much. I can still picture Tom from Myspace’s profile photo, it’s forever engraved in my mind.

As you know, John and I love asking our couples about their relationship, especially about the proposal! Morgan and Jordan’s story is just too dreamy not to share:

“My parents set up my first trip to New York City for my 25th birthday. I was so excited, as I have been dying to go there for years now. I invited Jordan and he was not the most excited (he was pretending), but still wanted to come along to celebrate my birthday. We were having such an amazing time enjoying the city, sightseeing, and eating amazing food. It all felt like a dream to me and (at first) I had no idea that he would propose while we were there!! On our last night in NYC, we scheduled to go up to the Top of the Rock, which is an observation deck on the top the Rockefeller Center. We heard that it was the best view of the city. About an hour before we went, I noticed Jordan getting soooooooooo nervous, wanting to change clothes, and insisting that we stop by the hotel before we went. I got a little skeptical, but I convinced myself that I was just being a weirdo!! Once we got up to the top of the building, we were taking photos, when Jordan pulled me aside and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. The people around were clapping and my mom and dad were taking videos and pictures and I was so awkward but SO happy and surprised and emotional… it really felt like a I was in a movie. It was the most romantic and sweet proposal I could have dreamed of!! We then went to dinner to celebrate my birthday and our engagement and spent the next morning in Central Park. It still feels like a dream to me because it was just so perfect and sweet.”

A birthday trip to NYC AND A RING?! YES to that! Morgan and Jordan are getting married this June at Spring Creek Ranch and we can’t wait to be a part of it!

Orion Hill Events- Memphis Wedding Photographer [Danielle + Collin | Engaged]

Orion Hill is one of Memphis’ newest and most beautiful wedding venues! We were SO excited to be doing Danielle + Collin’s engagement session at Orion, where these two will be getting married at this July.

To know Danielle and Collin is to love Danielle and Collin! These two were such a blast to hang out with at their engagement session. They work so well together as a couple and parents. Don’t even get me started on how cute their kids are. We simply can’t wait to meet them at their wedding. Danielle and Collin are genuine, simple, kind, and just all around fun. We made lots of jokes at their engagement session all involving Mexican food, so much so, we all ended up eating Mexican after their engagement session. It’s safe to say they have really good taste in food and life!

Danielle had her makeup done by Kasey Acuff and it looked phenomenal, per usual. Orion was such a perfect spot for their engagement session because it has so many different varieties of locations for photos. The dock is a favorite and so dreamy, the front of the house and the porch speaks for itself, and they have a wooded area that will make you feel like your standing somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. It made our Golden coast loving heart skip a beat!

We cannot wait for Danielle + Collin’s wedding in July!

K & M Barn at Lewis Farm Wedding- Memphis Wedding Photographer- Mekenzie + Seth

K & M Barn in Atwood is one of the most charming venues in the state of Tennessee.

Believe it or not, John and I had never even met Mekenzie + Seth until the day of their wedding. These two live in Chattanooga, but when we finally did meet on their wedding day, it honestly felt like meeting old friends. We had chatted multiple times over Instagram and John and I always say we wish Mekenzie and Seth lived here, because we would totally hang out all the time. These two are an actual match made in Heaven and we feel so blessed they chose us to capture their sweet day.

I have got to talk about Mekenzie’s style- OH MY GOODNESS- this girl is a true fashionista. Her gown was designed by Rue De Seine that she got from LVD Bridal. I am so obsessed with any Rue De Seine gown and Mekenzie’s was no exception. She wore off white Frye boots that were the perfect mix of bridal boho grunge, aka GOALZ. Mekenzie’s hair and makeup reminded me of Kacey Musgraves and she threw on the cutest denim jacket that said “Bride” on the back. She was an absolute vision.

Seth built Mekenzie a teepee for her to have at their wedding, and it looked amazing. Southern Sparkle Wedding and Events was there to ensure the day ran smoothly, and Krisy even brought in Krystal’s burgers which truly made the night. Southern Sparkle Florals did an incredible job with the most gorgeous bold florals. Mekenzie’s bouquet even included a King Protea that was absolutely breathtaking.

K & M Barn has SO many amazing locations for photos, including the ceremony site that looks like you’re deep in the woods of Oregon. Mekenzie and Seth’s color palette included burnt oranges, deep purples, and splashes of gold. They had little dream catchers hanging, and adorable customized napkins and cups. Their customized cups say “Cheers babe” and John and I still drink from them!

Spring Creek Ranch Wedding- Memphis Wedding Photographer- [Haley + Patrick]

Haley and Patrick’s Spring Creek Ranch Wedding is one you WILL not want to miss.

If I’m not careful, this blogpost could end up being the longest blogpost I’ve ever written. Why? Because Haley is like a sister to me, and her and Patrick’s wedding was absolutely EPIC! Remember Haley + Patrick’s awesome engagement session? How could anyone forget the time I gushed about what an amazing couple these two are?! Their wedding totally mirrored the classy, laid back, creative couple that they are, and I am so excited to FINALLY have it featured on the blog.

If you know Haley, you KNOW she loves all things rose gold. She had touches of rose gold throughout the entire day. The geometric centerpieces, her engagement ring (talk about a conversation starter) their wedding invitations, the rose gold flaked wedding cake, and don’t forget Haley’s rose gold Kate Spade Keds! I can’t tell you how many of my brides have reached out to me with photos of Haley + Patrick’s wedding decor telling me it’s inspiration for their own wedding. Haley always has been a trendsetter.

Since Haley is like family to us, she and Patrick invited John and I attend their wedding reception. We seriously haven’t had that much fun in so long! Of course, Madi shot the reception and did a wonderful job. Toni, (our other mom) and Haley thought of every single thing possible to make this wedding complete perfection. A few things that stand out about Haley and Patrick’s wedding (and by a few I mean a lot) are the “his and hers” wedding cocktails. Haley had a Prosecco bar and Patrick had a Bourbon Bar. John and I, along with everyone else, visited these a few times. Lucky 13 Letters did all of the signage at the wedding and she was also a bridesmaid. Their delicious wedding favors were homemade fudge in a monogrammed shot glass. Haley and Patrick’s bar had a custom neon sign that said “Baby got Mac” in honor of Haley’s new last name “McEntire” and I am pretty sure she started the whole neon light at weddings trend! On top of a delicious dinner at the reception that included waffle fries and DIP, there was also a Grilled Cheese food truck, Say Cheese. The queen herself may have also made an appearance, considering it was the Royal Wedding Day. As if all of that isn’t already a ton, just WAIT until you see the smoke bomb bride and groom photos the rainbow confetti exit. The exit I’ll never be able to top!

Haley and Patrick had an all star lineup of “friendors” I say that because all of H + P’s vendors were also their friends, which made the day that much more fun. Haley’s unique wedding dress was designed by Hayley Paige and she got it from Maggie Louise Bridal. Kasey Acuff and Emily Cohen were the hair and makeup queens, who did a fantastic job, per usual. Kipp Holmes designed Haley and Patrick’s wedding cake which was as delicious as it was stunning! Lynn Doyle Flowers created all of the floral magic as well as coordinated such an amazing day. We loved working alongside Justin from Message in a Bottle, and dancing the night away with Jimmy from DeepBlu Entertainment. John and I along with all the other guests, visited Haley + Patrick’s photo booth by Hot Shots several times. Other amazing vendors who made the day complete are Elegant Chair Solutions, White Door Events, and Mahaffey Tent and Events.

When we look back at Haley and Patrick’s wedding day, it honestly feels like it was just yesterday. We are so thankful we got to be a part of the MOST epic day!
